Summer fashion is admittedly not my favorite, and with the added style roadblock that quarantine has created, it’s making it even harder to enjoy. The first step of any season is typically to update your closet… but during these times, not so much. Technically yes, we can on online shop and although I’ve added a few pieces, I’ve been shopping my closet mostly.
Lots of my summer looks this year will be brought to you by outfits for trips that never happened, including today’s. This ASOS top was on sale back when I bought it of a holiday vacation that never came to pass, but I knew saving it for a summer debut would be worth the wait.
The color story is of this top is nothing short of spectacular. With a little bit of red, blue, green and yellow, it can pair with anything, and to no surprise, I opted for white denim. There’s something about white denim that is so modern and clean to me.
ASOS prints can be such a hit or miss for me. I can go from trendy to walking couch cushion in two seconds, but luckily this bold and wide stripe worked. Unfortunately this style is no longer available but a few more can be found on the site like this patchwork style, or vertical stripe design.
For my first style post since coming out of such a long hiatus, I can’t think of a better way to return. In something fresh, bright and cool. Expect more recycling and reusing of past summer staples mixed with “older” new pieces to create statement looks for the rest of the season.
Here’s to more summer serves,
